 Overview

The simulator is designed for instruction of gastric lavage through nasal and oral passage. It features realistic landmarks in the transparent abdomen “window” including trachea, esophagus, lungs, and stomach etc. It also designed for practicing of gastrointestinal care procedures via nasal and oral access. For exceptional realism, mucous-like fluids can be simulated as a real patient. Fluid can be added to the lungs and stomach for realistic gastric lavage and suctioning.

Anatomy

Anatomical structures in the transparent window can be observed including teeth, tongue, uvula, vocal cords, epiglottis, larynx, trachea, bronchia, lungs, heart, esophagus, stomach, diaphragm, liver,gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine and colon etc. 

 Realism

Realism of appearance and performance necessary to provide realistic practice for trainees

• Key Features:

1) The simulator is designed as torso body, the distance between central incisor to the

stomach is about 45-55 cm, can be posited as 30° semi-sitting and sitting up position

2) Gastric lavage measures including: lavage via oral and nasal passage with stomach

pump, electric aspirator, gastric lavage tube and automatic gastrolavage machine.

 Cleaning

• Clean the simulator with a damp cloth, using warm water and neutral detergent. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or materials.
• Allow trainer to completely dry before storing.
• Keep away from sunshine.
